Monaco president rules out sale of “essential” duo

Monaco president Vadim Vasilyev is standing firm amid interest in star players Thomas Lemar and Fabinho.

Monaco’s Ligue 1-winning side has already been ripped apart this summer, with the likes of Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy and Tiemoué Bakayoko all departing.

In fact, Monaco have already broken the record for most transfer revenue received in a single window.

Arsenal have already had a bid for Lemar rejected and the Frenchman is Arsene Wenger’s number one target for the rest of the window.

Fabinho meanwhile, has been on Manchester United’s radar all summer and is also linked with a move away from the Stade Louis II.

No mention of Mbappe

Interestingly, Vasilyev made no mention of Mbappe in his latest remarks, hinting that the wonderkid could be on his way to Real Madrid.

Arsenal and PSG have shown interest in the 18-year-old, but they are set to be priced out of a world-record £120m+ fee for the forward.
