Barcelona v Juventus: Champions League preview
Two of the favourites to win this season’s Champions League get the group phase of the competition off to a flyer on Tuesday night.
While many have tipped Real Madrid for major success once again this year, it’s Barcelona who are the early frontrunners in La Liga.
After three rounds of the new season in Spain, Barcelona have a 100% winning record. Not only that, but Barca are yet to concede a goal having beaten Betis (2-0), Alaves (0-2) and Espanyol (5-0).
Leo Messi was the star for Barcelona last weekend as he scored another hat-trick in the Catalan derby.
Messi now has 42 career hat-tricks for club and country (27 in La Liga).
Juventus has also started their season in top form.
The Bianconeri beat Chievo 3-0 last weekend in Turin. Previously they’d beaten Cagliari (3-0) and Genoa (2-4), while Paulo Dybala has 5 Serie A goals in the bank already.

Both Barcelona and Juventus lost star players in the summer.
Neymar left Barcelona to join PSG as the Brazilian became the world’s most expensive player.

As for Juve, star defender Leonardo Bonucci left the club to join AC Milan.
Other notable names to leave the Italian giants included Dani Alves, Kingsley Coman, Mario Lemina and Moise Kean.
But Juve also brought in a load of players. Juan Cuardrado left Chelsea, while Douglas Costa, Blaise Matuidi, Benedikt Howedes and Wojciech Szczesny were some of the big arrivals.

With no other injuries problems, Messi and Luis Suarez will be hoping to fire Barca to victory.
Ousmane Dembele will also be hoping to make his first start for Barcelona.
