Ernesto Valverde announcement imminent

Barcelona are expected to announce Ernesto Valverde as their new coach some time on Monday, after his time at Athletic Bilbao.

Meanwhile, Marc ter Stegen and Dani Alves have penned awesome tributes to Luis Enrique.

The tribute from Dani Alves is especially significant, considering how the Brazilian doesn’t even play for Barcelona anymore.

And, as Alves has been sorely missed at Barcelona and massively influential for Juventus as they aim for the treble.

Marc ter Stegen tribute to Luis Enrique

I began my @fcbarcelona career in 2014 with you as my manager.

You led this special team to 9 trophies in 3 seasons, including the treble: An incredible achievement.

I’m very proud to have been part of this journey, as an athlete and a person.

Thank-You “Mister” for everything.

I wish you all the best on your next chapter, with lots of happiness for you and your family.

Gracias!
