Manchester United have clear shot at midfielder after Juventus drop interest

Midfield recruitment

Manchester United now have a clear shot at midfield target and Chelsea man Nemanja Matic after Juventus dropped their interest in the player.

Jose Mourinho has seemingly been looking to the player to add depth to his central midfield having worked with the player at Chelsea.

Matic rejoined the Stamford Bridge side in a hefty deal from Benfica but is now on the edge of leaving the club and is not in Antonio Conte’s plans.

That being said, it could still require a potential £50m fee if Manchester United are to prise the player away from the Capital.

Juventus were said to be one of the most interested parties in the pursuit of Matic and were proving to be another obstacle for Man United.

Now, they have seemingly moved onto the pursuit of Blaise Matuidi and left the Red Devils with a clear path to Matic.

Whether Manchester United are willing to pay the required fee is yet to be seen but that is the only big obstacle standing in their way now.

Man United to pass up chance to sign Bale

The Red Devils have long been linked with Gareth Bale but they might pass up the chance to sign him.

Bale has seemingly been placed on the transfer market this summer.
