Giggs to Poland?

He couldn’t become Manchester United’s Pep Guardiola but Ryan Giggs won’t be throwing in the towel on a career in coaching anytime soon. The legendary Red has previously been linked with roles at Swansea and Celtic. His latest link is much more unexpected. ITK Polish journalist Krzysztof Stanowski that Ryan Giggs could have ended up at Legia Warsaw.

And he was the one who actually asked them for a role.

Mutual benefits

For the time being, they’ve failed to accommodate the Welsh wizard but maybe something is in the works behind the scenes. A spell at Legia would be beneficial for Giggs. It would be an opportunity to step out of his comfort zone. Legia are not only Polish heavyweights, they also qualified for the Champions League group stages this season.

In their first game, they were battered 6-0 by Borussia Dortmund at home but that heavy defeat will act as a steep learning curve. Giggs made 157 appearances for United over 23 years.

His experience could prove very useful.
