Man United, Chelsea & Liverpool stars
Every Monday during the Premier League season, Garth Crooks picks his BBC team of the week.
This week is no different, while it’s easy to spot which team got the most love this weekend.
That would be Man United, who have four players in the eleven after a 4-0 away win at Swansea City.
Stoke were the second best represented team with two players making the cut.
Leicester, Liverpool, Huddersfield, Chelsea and West Ham all had players in the team as well.
The back five
Stoke goalie Jack Butland put in a terrific show in the 1-0 win over Arsenal.
In front of him were Man United duo Antonio Valencia and Eric Bailly. Bailly scored his first Man United goal at the Liberty Stadium.
Leicester’s Harry Maguire was also picked after he scored in the home win over Brighton.
Liverpool left-back Andrew Robertson was also selected after he kept a clean sheet on his Premier League debut for the Reds in the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
The midfield four
Paul Pogba scored for the second weekend running for Man United to be included in the team.
He was joined by Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has also been chalking up assists in the opening weekends of the season.
Two match winners completed the midfield. Huddersfield’s Aaron Mooy scored the winner against Newcastle, while Marcos Alonso bagged a brace as Chelsea won 2-1 at Tottenham.
The front two
West Ham lost 3-2 at Southampton on Saturday, however Javier Hernandez was selected after his double against the Saints.
The final spot in the team went to Jese Rodriguez, after he scored the winner for Stoke versus Arsenal on his Premier League debut.
