Mourinho v Shaw
Luke Shaw’s absence from the Manchester United squad of late has been the source of bafflement for many fans.
The left-back has fallen foul of new manager Jose Mourinho on a number of ocassions already this season, and has been publicly criticized several times.
Shaw missed most of last season through injury, and was expected to make a big impact this season.
But things haven’t worked out that way so far, with Jose Mourinho questioning both his defensive acumen and most recently his bravery.
For the umpteenth time, Shaw wasn’t even included in the squad for the weekend’s game against West Brom.
And Shaw-Mourinho relations hit a new low on Saturday, as Mourinho really threw him under the bus, questioning his attitude and professionalism.
Shaw back in squad for Everton
Mourinho’s cutting words appeared to signal the end of Shaw’s Old Trafford career, but there’s been a dramatic turn of events today.
After holding showdown talks at Carrington today, it seems the pair have come to an agreement, and Shaw has been restored to the squad for tomorrow’s game against Everton.
