Liverpool v Man United
It’s been a busy few days for Man United fans trying to keep up with the club’s transfer gossip.
Back in March, tongues started wagging when Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho appeared in Zagreb.
The Special One watched the 2018 World Cup qualifier between Croatia and Ukraine amid claims he was paying special attention to 28-year-old Ivan Perisic.
Perisic is under contract at the San Siro until 2020.
Late on Saturday night, news broke again that Manchester United were stepping up efforts to sign the Inter Milan star, while claims spread that the Red Devils have a “verbal agreement” with the left-footed forward.
Muddying the waters, Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio claimed that Chelsea are also interested in Perisic, while on Monday news out of Croatia have placed Liverpool into the mix too.
So what’s the story?
Croatian news outlet 24Sata, as reported by Sport Witness, have claimed Liverpool have lodged an offer for Perisic with Inter.
It’s claimed the Reds bid €35 million for the San Siro star, while Inter felt the bid was laughable.

24Sata went on to report that Perisic has “one foot” inside Od Trafford.
At the same time, reports out of Spain on Monday have linked United with a possible move for Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale.
Bale’s United move could be dependent on whether the Welsh superstar is picked in the Los Blancos XI for the Champions League final against Juventus on Saturday night.
