Can Manchester United win the Premier League?
In the aftermath of Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Chelsea on Wednesday night, Sky Sports pundits Graeme Souness and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink attempted to decipher what it meant for the Premier League.
Undoubtedly, stopping Chelsea from winning a record 14 Premier League games in a row was a huge achievement.
But, Antonio Conte’s side still lead Liverpool by five points and Tottenham by seven.
Souness: “All Top 6 teams in the title race”
Souness, a Liverpool legend, said that any one of the top six can win the Premier League this season, a sentiment shared by Hasselbaink.
Specifically, he pointed to how big Manchester United are as a club and that they are on a roll now having won six Premier League games in a row.
Surprisingly, the bookies are not anywhere near as hopeful about Manchester United, currently listing them as 18/1 to win the Premier League this season.
Jose Mourinho’s side are currently 10 points behind Chelsea.
At the very end of the clip below, Souness also points out that Chelsea will have lost very little confidence from this defeat at Spurs and are still the most likely title winners.
