Messi doesn’t want Coutinho
Liverpool fans can breathe a sigh of relief. If Barcelona wanted Philippe Coutinho, Lionel Messi has talked them out of it. At least that’s what Don Balon is reporting, the Spanish site having a patchy record on transfer scoops.
No, Messi doesn’t want Coutinho, but he does want another Premier League star. That star plays for Spurs.
Alli to Barcelona
Dele Alli is one of the world’s most valuable players, according to a recent study.
But Messi thinks he would be worth bidding for, having seen what the prodigious midfielder is capable of.
The 21-year-old Alli followed up a magnificent debut campaign with Spurs by becoming even more prolific in front of goal, scoring 22 times in all competitions. To say he’s a key man for Tottenham would be a huge understatement.
There are a select few players in football who are deemed priceless by their clubs. Alli is one.
Then again, Spurs have been tempted to part with their best player by a Spanish side twice in the past. They sold both Luka Modric and Gareth Bale to Real Madrid after initially saying that each player wasn’t for sale.
