Leicester transfer

Leicester City have reached an agreement to sign Genk midfielder Wilfred Ndidi in January, the Guardian report.

The Foxes have desperately missed N’Golo Kante at the base of midfield and want reinforcements. Kante’s tipped successor Nampalys Mendy has only made one appearance this season due to injury. Already a Nigeria international, Ndidi is highly-rated and will reportedly cost the champions £15 million. That includes £3.5m in add-ons for appearances.

United scout

His signing will be something of a coup as Manchester United are also in for the 19-year-old. United’s Belgian scout Roland Janssen discovered Ndidi at a youth tournament back in 2013. It will be interesting to see if they make a late bid to sign him. Considering how packed United’s midfield currently is, they might lose out.

Although Ndidi should consider the fate of another 19-year-old before a move to the King Power Stadium. Bartosz Kaputska is still waiting to make his Leicester debut after a summer move.

He impressed for Poland at Euro 2016 but is being forced to wait for his debut.
