West Ham bid
West Ham have had a €32 million bid accepted by Lazio for Keita Balde, Goal reports. This follows two rejected bid of €20m and €25m respectively. Now, all that’s left to agree is personal terms with Keita Balde himself.
The 22-year-old forward previously rejected Everton earlier in the summer. He was believed to be holding out for a Juventus move but the Bianconeri haven’t come calling. A move to London might now appeal to the striker.
Last season was a personal best for Keita with the Senegal international scoring 16 goals in Serie A.
The striker improved his finishing and utilised his talent for dribbling the ball.
West Ham’s offer for Keita is considerably high as his contract is up next summer. While they could offer him wages of €3m per season – around five or six times his current wage – he might decide to wait it out.
Running down his contract would give him greater options if Champions League football really is his motivation.
The Hammers are said to be closing in on the signing of Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen.
