Manchester City’s only central defender at Leicester
Just imagine what it must have been like for Islam Slimani and Jamie Vardy to see the team sheet at home to Manchester City on Saturday.
Leicester had endured a pretty poor Premier League season up until the visit of Manchester City but last year’s champions had the game wrapped up in half an hour.
Two for Jamie Vardy and one for Andy King meant Leicester could concede possession and hit on the break.
City just could not cope with the very speedy Jamie Vardy and with just one recognised central defender, it is not hard to see why.
John Stones was flanked at the start of the game by Bacary Sagna and Aleksandr Kolarov. In front of this back three was Pablo Zabaleta.
No Fernandinho and Sergio Aguero means the heart of City has been ripped out their team.

And, the lack of a central defender to help Stones out, even off the bench, was a sad indictment of the money spent in recent years by City on defenders.
Leicester released their Tunnel Cam from the 4-2 win over Manchester City and we caught a glimpse of Pep furiously walking to the dressing room at full time.
We also catch the unlucky John Stones get called in for a drugs test. We suspect there will be many jokes about this, so bad was the former Everton 50 million pound man.
Stones was woefully short with his back pass that allowed Jamie Vardy to score his hat-trick and make it 4-0.
Also appearing late on is Claudio Ranieri, looking as pleased as punch.
