Joel Campbell & Arsenal
The Costa Rican forward, who excelled at the last World Cup, joined the Gunners way back in 2011, but rather than playing for Arsene Wenger, he’s spent most of his career out on loan.
In the 2014-15 season he scored four goals in 30 appearances for Arsenal, with three of those coming in 19 league outings.
But he’s also been farmed out to Lorient, Real Betis, Olympiakos, Villarreal and Sporting CP in recent times.
Summer of change
Campbell is out of contract in 2018, but it’s looking increasingly likely he’ll be sold this summer.
The player’s agent, Joaquim Batica, has spoken to Lucarne Opposee, and he’s confirmed that Olympiakos have been repeatedly trying to sign his client.
Batica also bigged up Campbell, noting he played over 30 times for Sporting last season, although he struggled to assert himself as a first team starter.
