Annoyed by Barcelona
It appears as though FC Barcelona have been stepping on everyone’s toes in this transfer window. First, if you care to believe this retelling, they annoyed PSG with their pushy Marco Verratti pursuit. PSG responded by signing Neymar.
Then they made a derisory (yes, €100m guaranteed is now derisory in the crazy world of football) offer for Philippe Coutinho and had the gall to set Liverpool a deadline. Their bluff was called and they’re preparing another bid.
Borussia Dortmund were also rankled by their tactics to sign Ousmane Dembele. Heck, even Bayern Munich were pissed off about that. The latest club to join this list of clubs offended by Barcelona is French side OGC Nice.
Barcelona are interested in signing Nice star Jean Michael Seri. However, RMC Sport reports that their chances have taken a hit because Nice feel disrespected. Barcelona have already agreed on personal terms with Seri without Nice’s consent. This seems hypocritical as it’s exactly the behaviour that Barca blasted PSG for.

Worse still for Barca, Seri’s €40m release clause expired in July. That means that they’re going to have to offer at least that figure while also giving a player as part of the deal. The clubs are meeting today.
