Harry Kane scores winner against Sunderland

Harry Kane scored the winner for Spurs against Sunderland today, taking his tally to 2 for the season.

The Tottenham hitman is a notoriously slow starter each season, and normally takes a couple of months to get going.

It looked like being the case for him once again this season, but he now looks to have turned the corner.

Only…he’s now been set back with injury.

Leaves on crutches with ankle injury

The England striker was forced off towards the end of the game at White Hart Lane after injuring his ankle in a challenge, and the stretcher was required to ensure no further damage was caused to his ankle.

And the sight of Kane leaving the ground on crutches won’t fill Spurs fans with a lot of hope.

Mauricio Pochettino couldn’t confirm how long he’d be out with this injury, but a badly twisted ankle will likely force him out of Spurs’ next game at least.
