Gareth Bale’s injury has meant Real Madrid’s famous ‘BBC’ frontline has been seriously derailed this season.
The Welshman picked up an injury in early December, which originally threatened to rule him out for a very lengthy spell.
But Bale is a physical specimen, and although he injures easily, he also heals incredibly quickly.
Back in training
And much to the delight of Madrid fans, he was pictured back in training at Valdebebas today.
The Welshman trotted around on the turf and stuck to basic movements, with the aim of returning to group training and full ball contact as of next week.
According to Marca, Bale could make it for the return leg of Madrid’s Champions League quarter-final against Napoli in a couple of weeks’ time.
And that will be music to Madrid fans’ ears: while the likes of Lucas Vasquez have performed well in Bale’s absence, no one can match the Welshman’s power and pace in the Madrid ranks.
