Andre Gray charged by FA

The FA today charged Andre Gray for comments made on social media in 2012.

The 25-year-old Burnley striker scored his very first Premier League goal on Saturday afternoon in a shock 2-0 win over Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Instead of celebrating, Andre Gray has since been attempting to deal with a PR nightmare after old homophobic tweets of his, from 2012, went viral online.

The tweets, sent during his time at Hinckley United, went completely unnoticed but were re-discovered following his goalscoring exploits in the Premier League.
