Paul Merson is dominating social media
Former Arsenal and Aston Villa midfielder Paul Merson has figured prominently on social media over the past 24 hours or so.
Merson was a terrific player in his day and despite the fact he can struggle to pronounce names, is a fixture on Soccer Saturday every week.
The former Arsenal midfielder also performs a Mark Lawrenson role for Sky Sports, with Merson making predictions for every weekend.
Everton, Stoke & Bournemouth…
Ahead of the 3rd round FA Cup weekend, Merson was asked by Jeff Stelling for three teams that could win the FA Cup.
What ensues is hilarious, if you already know the results from Saturday, Merson picked Everton (who lost at home to Stoke), Stoke (who lost at home to Wolves) and Bournemouth who suffered defeat at Millwall.
The video is undoubtedly hilarious. Especially in retrospect.

Merson on foreign managers, lays into Olympiakos
On Soccer Saturday yesterday, Merson was involved in a discussion about new Hull boss Marco Silva.
What ensues is a border line racist conversation where Merson and Phil Thompson come off particularly badly.
Merson has some stinging words for Olympiakos, where Silva impressed. Quite why the Arsenal man hates the Greek side so much is not clear.
