Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha set for extended spell on sidelines

According to a report from the Independent, Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha could be set for up to a month on the sidelines following the injury he picked up versus Huddersfield at the weekend.

As if to add insult to injury, Palace’s embarrassing 3-0 home loss to Premier League newcomers Huddersfield Town was compounded by an injury to star man Zaha, who left Selhurst Park with his right leg in a brace on Saturday.

Though it is claimed that subsequent tests have ruled out any ligament damage for the Ivorian international, Zaha is still expected to be out of action for at least the next four weeks.

In what will no doubt come as a hammer blow to the early season prospects of Frank De Boer’s side, Zaha now looks certain to miss the Eagles’ Premier League matchups with Liverpool and Swansea City over the next fortnight, as well as their Carabao Cup tie with Ipswich Town.
