Chelsea set for busy day

Transfer Deadline Day is upon us and Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is far from finished with his summer transfer business.

Atsu, Omeruo, Cuadrado, Miazga, Cuevas, Piazon, Feruz, Chalobah and Solanke could all leave the club on loan today whilst Chelsea are still expected to bring in a new central defender as well as £20m left-back Marcos Alonso.

A £32m bid was submitted to PSG last night for David Luiz but, according to reliable Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Marcelo Brozovic and Angelo Ogbonna are Antonio Conte’s two primary targets today.

Brozovic and Ogbonna

Signed by West Ham United last summer, Angelo Ogbonna is now Chelsea’s preferred central defender signing having missed out on a number of high-profile players.

Alessio Romagnoli, Kalidou Koulibaly and David Luiz have all been subject to Chelsea bids but their attention will today turn to the 28-year-old Italian international, says Gianluca Di Marzio.

West Ham seem unlikely to sell as Slaven Bilic almost definitely will not have a last-minute replacement lined up.

According to Di Marzio, Chelsea are considering submitting an offer for Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic. The 23-year-old Croatian international can play anywhere across the midfield
