Chelsea may make a u-turn on John Terry, meeting scheduled [Times]

John Terry, Chelsea, Stamford Bridge

It’s the news all Chelsea fans have been waiting months to hear.

What has taken the club so long?!

Chelsea u-turn on John Terry?

According to the Times on Wednesday, all of a sudden it feels like John Terry’s Chelsea career may not be coming to an end as quickly as most people had presumed.

Earlier in the season, Terry announced he’ll be leaving the Stamford Bridge club at the end of the campaign when his current deal expires. Incredibly Chelsea failed to offer the stalwart a new deal, and fans have been questioning those decisions ever since.

Last weekend Terry was sent off in Chelsea’s 3-2 defeat at Sunderland, which effectively ended his Blues career as it threw up a two game suspension. However today’s Times has provided the following update:

John Terry has been summoned to a meeting with Roman Abramovich’s key aides, Marina Granovskaia and Michael Emenalo, at Chelsea this week at which he is expected to learn whether he has a future at the club.

The final decision on Terry’s future will be made by Abramovich despite the recent appointment of Antonio Conte as head coach, with Granovskaia and Emenalo expected to relay it to Terry.

John Terry’s other options

The broadsheet further notes that John Terry has offers from the Middle East and China, however it’s clear the player would chose to stay in west London is offered the opportunity.
