Blues to continue spending
Chelsea have spent more than £140 million on transfers this summer but they’re by no means finished buying players. Reports claim that the Premier League champions plan on matching the spending of Manchester City in this window.
One player who is said to be on their radar is Bayern Munich misfit Renato Sanches, Bild report.
It’s understood that the Bundesliga giants are willing to let the 19-year-old leave on loan this summer. A big money signing last year, Sanches didn’t hit the ground running in Munich and was adjudged by many to have flopped.
25 appearances in all competitions didn’t wield a single goal or assist. This wasn’t the prodigious midfield maestro that had impressed so often with Benfica and for Portugal at the European Championships.
Bayern still believe in the youngster and see a loan move as beneficial. Contrary to reports, they wouldn’t give any club the option to buy Sanches. Chelsea have a good chance of securing a deal with Milan’s interest cooling.
