Alcacer to Barca
Barcelona are closing in on the signing of Paco Alcacer from Valencia. Mundo Deportivo reports that the Spain international is heading to the Camp Nou for €30 million despite having an €80 million buy-out clause. This is due to the good relationship between the two clubs. Barca have already signed Andre Gomes this summer. While Martin Montoya went to Valencia.
This move will not be without its benefits to Valencia either. As well as getting a substantial fee for Alcacer, they’re negotiating to bring Munir El Haddadi to the Mestalla for a season.
Sergi Samper is another player who interests Pako Ayestaran.
Alcacer’s role at Barcelona will be understudy to Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez. He won’t start every game but he’ll go into the team when one of the MSN trio is injured or suspended. Another benefit to joining Barcelona is that he’s essentially guaranteed to add medals to his trophy cabinet at home.
