Following his £35m move to Liverpool from Arsenal in the summer, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has endured a tricky time on Meyerside.
The 24-year-old’s performances have been well below par and he has received a lot of criticism for these performances.
Not to mention that as Liverpool’s form has dipped, Arsenal’s form has increased.
Liverpool’s Ox form
Since the arrival of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Liverpool have won just once in their last seven games.
Meanwhile, his former club Arsenal have won six of their last seven.
Unfortunately for Oxlade-Chamberlain, this accurately represents his luck so far at Liverpool.
The England international is yet to make a start for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the league, with his short substitute cameos coming as a concern.
His performance against Leicester City in the League Cup was even made into a highlights reel of numerous disastrous moments.
Bad to worse
Having moved from Arsenal to Liverpool, the Gunners’ supporters have been scrutinising every small slip-up which the Ox makes.
This evening, Oxlade-Chamberlain left the field kicking a water bottle after being subbed off.
However this time, it wasn’t just his performance which left Arsenal fans smirking…
