Antonio Conte post Chelsea 4 – Peterborough 1

Chelsea moved into the FA Cup fourth round with ease on Sunday as they beat Peterborough 4-1 at Stamford Bridge.

Goals from Pedro (2), Michy Batshuayi and Willian secured the victory. The only downside was the sending off of John Terry.

After the FA Cup win, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte referenced a few players for praise, including Kurt Zouma, Nathaniel Chalobah and Ola Aina.

Conte on Nathan Ake

Antonio Conte also explained why Chelsea have recalled Dutch defender Nathan Ake from his loan spell at Bournemouth.

Conte said that Ake could play in the back three or midfield and he will analyse in training to see if he could also play wing-back.

Arguably the weakest player in the Chelsea side is Marcos Alonso, and Ake could provide a good option as a wing back.

The Chelsea boss hails the form of Ake at both Watford and Bournemouth, and describes him as an “important option”.
