Chinese Super League taking over
The Chinese Super League has landed its latest acquisition in its quest for world football supremacy.
In the last year, the Chinese league has stepped up its bid to become a major global player by attracting several big stars from Europe.
The likes of Hulk, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Graziano Pelle were already out in the Far East last season, and in the past few weeks they’ve managed to lure Oscar from Chelsea, Carlos Tevez from Boca Juniors, and Alex Witsel from Zenit St Petersburg.
And now could be set for another big-name import, albeit an over-the-hill one.
Cassano to China?
According to Italian paper Corriere dello Sport, Antonio Cassano is strongly considering making a sensational move to China.
Technically still a Sampdoria player, Cassano has been relegated to training with the youth team, as the manager doesn’t want him in the first team any longer.
The 34-year-old was reportedly considering a move into pornography, but it now looks like his head has been turned by the mega-bucks on offer in China.
