Arsenal poor in Paris

Arsenal’s slow start to the season continued tonight.

The Gunners, who have won just 2 of their 5 opening fixtures this season (all comps), could only manage a 1-1 draw with PSG at the Park des Princes.

Their poor start to the game wouldn’t have helped them either.

Wenger’s side found themselves 1-0 down after 46 seconds through Edinson Cavani – the earliest goal Arsenal have conceded in Champions League history.

The Uruguayan managed to lose his man inside the box and flick a header on to the far corner of the net to put his side ahead.

Since the goal, Arsenal struggled to get going but did eventually equalise through Alexis Sanchez – who saved his side a point.

Sanchez saves Arsenal

Sanchez managed to score Arsenal’s leveller and save his side from what was a poor performance in France.

After Alex Iwobi’s shot was saved and deflected into his path by PSG goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, Alexis Sanchez managed to smash the ball home in order earn Arsenal a point.

This of course papered over the cracks in Arsenal’s side a little but many people still took to Twitter to express their views on Arsenal’s performance.
