Alexis Sanchez advised on his Arsenal future during Romania v Chile

Focus: Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez was at the centre of a load of rumours on Tuesday about his future.

With one year to run on his Arsenal contract, it’s still unclear where Alexis will be at the start of the 2017-18 season.

The Chilean is demanding huge money to agree a new deal at Arsenal, and it’s unlikely that the Gunners will cough up the cash to meet the players demands of around to 325,000 pounds a week.

Manchester City and Chelsea have both been linked to the star, however Arsenal are so far baulking at selling Sanchez to one of their Premier League rivals.

Bayern Munich are also in the mix, but Alexis is supposedly sour on a Bundesliga move, while it’s highly possible he stays at Arsenal next term only to leave on a free twelve months later.

Romania 3 – Chile 2

On Tuesday night, the Gunners star played 90 minutes in a 3-2 defeat to Romania in an international friendly.

La Rojo took a 2-goal lead in the contest thanks to goals from Eduardo Vargas and Leonardo Valencia.

Bogdan Stancu started the comeback for Romania, Gary Medel left Chile with 10 men when he was sent off in the second half, while Nicolae Stanciu and Alexandru Baluta turned the scoreline on it’s head.

Message for Alexis

During the game, attention was drawn to a banner in the stands.

Made by Arsenal’s Romania Supporters Club, the banner read: Alexis stay at Arsenal and you’ll become a legend.

Will he pay attention?
