   YEA BUT…
   most of these highlights are from Pre 1990 days…

   Brazil after 1990 became mostly defensive and not even a shadow of pre 1990 (eg 1970 team, or 86 or 82 team).

   1990 was ultra defensive
   94 was pretty good but still not 86 level
   98 some good stuff
   2002 even less
   2006 nothing

   its a general trend: brasil as a defensive team.

   That’s idiotic, and completely ignores reality. I 1998, they were top scorers. In 2002, they had 2 very attacking full backs and a front-line of Rivaldo, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. In 2006, they weren’t very good but played Kaka, Ronaldo, Adriano and Ronaldinho, again with attacking full bcks. They scoed buckets of goals in qualifying. They may be more defensive that the days of suicidal futebol, but they are still an attacking team
