Real Madrid smashed Levante 5-1 on Saturday night in a routine home win for Los Blancos, but while the mood in the Santiago Bernabeu is generally positive after a week in which the Spaniards also beat Galatasaray in the Champions League, Iker Casillas appears to be miserable.
Casillas, if the rumour mill is to be believed, has suffered a major falling out with Jose Mourinho during the season.
The Spanish international goalie picked up an injury earlier in the year which kept him out of the first team, and the Madrid legend has been unable to regain his place in the starting XI despite having resumed training a several weeks back.
With speculation of dressing room wars raging, a prickly moment was spotted in the tunnel just before Real’s kick off with Levante.
Diego Lopez, the current Real shotstopper, walked down the stairs ahead of Casillas as the teams rolled out for the start, but when Lopez turned around in Iker’s direction, the sub goalie refused to give make any eye-contact with his deputy. Instead Iker embraced Pepe.
