If the rumour mill is to be trusted – which of course is a long shot – Arsenal look poised to sign a striker this January.
The Gunners have a real shot at challenging for the title this season, but if Arsenal are to pose a true title threat they arguably need reinforcements in their squad.
Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud have been sharing the workload up-front with decent success, while the past few days have seen a couple more forwards linked with a move to north London.
Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo last week splash their front cover with the claim that Arsenal are preparing a “dizzy” offer for Celta Vigo striker Nolito, while today the Sun reported that Arsenal are preparing a seven million pound offer for Dynamo Moscow’s Aleksandr Kokorin.
Nolito, who is also a target for Barcelona, showed why he’s being chased by clubs on Sunday, as the 29-year-old Spaniard scored a crucial injury time winner for Celta at Villarreal.
Celta Vigo are second in the league, level on 18 points with Real Madrid and Barcelona.
