Top flight football across Europe may be on hold during the international interlull, however it’s afforded an opportunity for some lessor lights to grab the spotlight.
Case in point was a sensational scissors-kick spotted in the second division in Portugal on Sunday, scored by 25-year-old Brazilian striker Rafael Porcellis.
Porcellis, who is having a fine scoring season with four goals in nine games, bagged the second goal in Santa Clara’s 3-1 over Leixoes.
The attacker scored a stunner in the 57th minute, connecting with a picture perfect acrobatic kick that laser-beamed into the net and gave the keeper no chance.
