Toluca take top spot; Wins for Cruz Azul, Puebla, Santos & Leon

Toluca 4 – Queretaro FC 1 (Mexico Primera Division, October 3, 2012) Luis Tejada scored twice as Toluca went two points clear at the top of the Mexican Apertura.

Cruz Azul 4 – Atlante 0 (Mexico Primera Division, October 3, 2012) Cruz Azul were the biggest winners of the night thanks to goals from Mariano Pavone, Christian Gimenez, Javier Aquino and Israel Castro.

Puebla 2 – Pachuca 0 (Mexico Primera Division, October 3, 2012) Lowly Puebla won for only the second time in 11 games, posting a 2-0 home victory over Pachuca thanks to goals from Isaac Romo and substitute Matias Alustiza.

Santos 2 – Atlas 1 (Mexico Primera Division, October 3, 2012) Atlas went ahead after one minute when Hector Mancilla tucked home a penalty, but the lead lasted only nine minutes, with Oribe Peralta levelling. Candido Ramirez put the hosts in front after 39 minutes, and the dismissal of Atlas midfielder Ricardo Bocanegra midway through the second half took the sting out of the away side.

Leon 2 – Pumas 1 (Mexico Primera Division, October 3, 2012) Eduardo Herrera put Pumas ahead in the 44th minute, but Leon levelled in first-half stoppage time through Carlos Pena and Nelson Maz grabbed a 65th-minute winner.
