Morelia held by Santos in 6-goal thriller in the play-offs; Pachuca locked in a 2-all draw with Toluca

Morelia 3 – Santos 3 (Mexican Primera Division play-offs semi-final first-leg, May 12, 2010) Oribe Peralta opened the scoring for Santos at Morelia in the seventh minute, but Morelia’s veteran striker Jared Borgetti brought the scores level in the 35th. Santos was back in front with Juan Pablo Rodriguez’ penalty in the 55th minute, but was pegged back again by Elias Hernandez’ strike nine minutes later. Jorge Estrada re-established Santos lead in the 66th minute before Luis Gabriel Rey squeezed the game’s second penalty under goalkeeper Oswaldo Sanchez to even the tie up for the third time in the 85th.

Pachuca 2 – Toluca 2 (Mexican Primera Division play-offs semi-final first-leg, May 12, 2010) Diego Novaretti headed Toluca into the lead against host Pachuca from a free kick just after half time. Damian Manso equalized from close range in the 60th. Toluca took the lead again with a Hector Mancilla header from Sinha’s free kick in the 81st minute, but Dario Cvitanovich leveled for a second time in the 86th, heading into an empty net after Juan Cacho’s looping header hit the post.
