MLS Goals: Earthquakes & the Fire play out a 3-all draw; New York draw in Houston; LA Galaxy reamin winless after picking up a point at Chivas

San Jose Earthquakes 3 – Chicago Fire 3 (MLS, April 11, 2009) San Jose opened the scoring with Ryan Johnson’s goal in the 14th minute but Chicago got it back in the 41st minute when Marco Pappa scored from a pass by Logan Pause. The Quakes went up 2-one when Bobby Convey scored a few minutes later but the Fire came back again, Brian McBride heading Chicago level. Back came San Jose, Arturo Alvarez scoring a 75th minute penalty, only for Chris Rolfe to level fdive minutes from time with a 22-yard shot.

Houston Dynamo 0 – New York Red Bulls 0 (MLS, April 11, 2009) Rookie New York goalie Alec Dufty made three saves as the Red Bulls and Houston played out a scoreless tie.
