J-League: Urawa Reds move into second after beating Kobe; Kashiwa Reysol pick up a surprise win at Jublio

Urawa Red Diamonds 2 – Vissel Kobe 0 (J-League, June 27, 2009) The Urawa Reds won the match in the first half, Edmilson opened after just two minutes ghosting in at the back post to convert an early attack. Naohiro Takahara doubled the lead minutes before the break firing a low left-footed drive inside the near post after the hosts had put together a clinical attack from back to front.

Jubilo Iwata 2 – Kashiwa Reysol 3 (J-League, June 27, 2009) With half an hour remaining the game was going according to the form-book with Julio leading 2-1 thanks to goals from Sho Naruoka and Norihiro Nishi sandwiching Minoru Suganuma stike for the visitors. But second-bottom Kashiwa pulled the rabbit out tha hat in the final stages as Suganuma bagged his brace to equalise befoe Lee Tadanari stole the points with an 89th minute header.

Kyoto Sanga FC 2 – Sanfrecce Hiroshima 0 (J-League, June 27, 2009) Goals in either half from Yuta Someya and Hiroki Mizumoto earned Kyoto the three points.

FC Tokyo 2 – Shimizu S-Pulse 1 (J-League, June 27, 2009) Yohei Kajiyama put Tokyo ahead after only eight minutes, before Frode Johnsen pulled the visitors level a minute before the hour mark. But Tokyo regained the lead just four minutes later thanks to a goal from Naohiro Ishikawa.
