J-League newbees Vegalta Sendai maintain their 100% start; Jubilo make their point in Niigata

Vegalta Sendai 3 – Omiya Ardija 1 (J-League, March 13, 2010) Ryang Yong Gi scored for the second week in a row as he opened with a penalty in the first half. Mato Neretljak pulled Omiya levelled in the 42nd minute with a thunderous free-kick, but the hosts went into the break in the lead after Elizeu prodded home a free-kick in the 42nd. A second half Fernandinho header saw Vegalta make it two wins out of two on their return to the top flight.

Albirex Niigata 1 – Jubilo Iwata 1 (J-League, March 13, 2010) Daisuke Nasu struck 12 minutes from time to give Jubilo Iwata their first point of the campaign at Albirex Niigata.
