Goals from the J-League: Endo at the double for Gamba; Nagoya hit Kashima for four

Gamba Osaka 2 – Kawasaki Frontale 1 (J-League, September 26, 2009) Yasuhito Endo proved the hero for Gamba scoring a brace in the victory. Endo steered Gamba into the lead before a terrific strike from Hiroyuki Taniguchi drew Kawasaki level just before the break. Endo won the match with a picture-perfect free-kick midway through the second half despite the fact that the dead-ball appeared to have been won by way of a blatant dive from the hosts.

Kashima Antlers 1 – Nagoya Grampus Eight 4 (J-League, September 26, 2009) After Josh Kennedy handed Nagoya a fifth minute lead, an awful error from home keeper Sogahata gifted Igor Burzanovic a simple tap-in for the visitors’ second. Keita Sugimoto put the game out of sight with Nagoya’s third before late goals from Marquinhos and Burzanovic’s second closed out the match.

Sanfrecce Hiroshima 1 – Albirex Niigata 2 (J-League, September 26, 2009)

Kyoto Sanga FC 1- Omiya Ardija 3 (J-League, September 26, 2009)
