America Samoa win their first ever World Cup qualifier & Samoa win 5-goal thriller at the Cook Islands

American Samoa 2 – Tonga 1 (Oceania World Cup qualifying, November 23, 2011) Goals from Ramin Ott (horrific keeping) and Shalom Luani gave the home side their first ever World Cup qualifier. Unaloto Faeo pulled one back for Tonga with a header.

Cook Islands 2 – Samoa 3 (Oceania World Cup qualifying, November 23, 2011) Luki Gosche slid Samoa ahead on 20 but they spurned a penalty to go 2-0 up minutes later. Campbell Best equalised for the Cook Islands after a keeper fumble on 36. A minute later Luki Gosche produced some slick forward play to make it 2-1 Samoa only for Campbell Best to score his second equaliser of the game on 85. The match was settled in the 92nd minute by Pati Bell who fired home the winner.
