Inter Milan 2 – Juventus 0 (Serie A, April 16, 2010) Inter and Juve played out a goalless first half, but the Old Lady were reduced to 10-men on the stroke of halftime when Momo Sissoko picked up a second yellow for an unnecessary lunge on Zanetti. Fifteen minutes from time Maicon scored a solo stunner to break the deadlock, the full-back flicking up a loose ball from a free-kick on the edge of the box, juggling the ball twice before cracking a wonder volley into the far corner. A minute into injury time Inter made it two, Muntari’s shot-cum-cross from the left fell into the path of Samuel Eto’o who made no mistake from close range.
Cologne 2 – Bochum 0 (Bundesliga, April 16, 2010) Manchester United loanee Zoran Tosic broke the deadlock for Cologne after 15 minutes at home to Bochum, the winger manged to break the visitors offside trap to collect a long ball through the middle, and after rounding the keeper he scored from a tight angle. Zoran Tosic seal the win with a second 12 minutes from time, the Red Devil lead a purposeful one-two into the box before adding the clinical finish for number two.
Bursaspor 2Â – Gaziantepspor 0 (Super Lig, April 16, 2010) Bursaspor extended their top on top of the Turkish league courtesy of Volkan Sen’s double.
Olhanense 1 – Maritimo 2 (Liga Sagres, April 16, 2010) Olhanense went down to 10-men early on when Hugo Ventura saw red, and Maritimo took advantage with goals from Baba and Kleber. A late Djalmir consolation for Olhanense mattered little before the hosts went down to 9-men when Tengarrinha saw red.
