Negredo nabs deserved draw for 10-man Sevilla at Espanyol after Reyes wrongly sent off

Espanyol 2 – Sevilla 2 (La Liga, December 7, 2012) Joan Verdu clipped a Panenka penalty to give the Catalans the lead. Ivan Rakitic squared it up for Sevilla with a penalty of their own. Sevilla had Jose Reyes sent off for a crazily harsh second yellow, the ref judging he’d taken his free kick too quickly when he thought he’d heard the whistle. Simao Sabrosa pulled Espanyol back in front with a header midway through the second half. Alvaro Negredo headed in the Sevilla equaliser on 90′.
