La Liga goals: Barca win at Bilbao; Valencia hit four past Numancia

It wasn’t until the 70th minute till the deadlock was broken, Henry played in Eto’o who lifted the ball as he collected it, before smashing a half volley past Iralzoz.

Valencia 4 – Numancia 0 (La Liga, October 19, 2008) Two goals from David Villa sandwiched strikes from Juan Mata and Vicente Rodríguez as Numancia slipped to the bottom of the division, while Valencia went top.

Almeria 0 – Sevilla 1 (La Liga, October 19, 2008) Injury-ravaged Sevilla, missing nine first team regulars, squeezed past Almeria thanks to Adriano’s strike just after the break.

Valladolid 1 – Recreativo Huelva 1 (La Liga, October 19, 2008) Marco Ruben broke the deadlock but Manuel Victor restored parity in the 90th minute to ensure the sides went away with a point apiece.

Sporting Gijon 2 – Osasuna 1 (La Liga, October 19, 2008) Gonzalez Carmelo got Sportingup and running and, while Osasuna hit back through Santiago Ezquerro, Mate Billic’s conversion from the penalty spot proved decisive.

Malaga 2 – Getafe 1 (La Liga, October 19, 2008) Roberto Soldado handed Getafe the advantage but Malaga turned the game on its headed via goals from Nabil Baha and Duda.
