Colon 1 – Independiente 1 (Clausura, March 28, 2010) Leonel Nunez scored the opener for Independiente in the 10th minute before Esteben Fuertes equalized for Colon in the 20th. Independiente finished with nine men after losing Leonel Galeano and Dario Gandin to red cards in the 34th and 73rd minutes respectively. Colon had Marcelo Goux sent off a minute after half time.
Chacarita Juniors 4 – Boca Juniors 1 (Clausura, March 28, 2010) Matias Gimenez gave Boca a 1-0 lead in the 30th. That was the end of the good news. Chacarita followed with two goals from Facundo Parra and others by Nicolas Ramierz and Sebastian Sciorilli.
Corinthians 4 – Sao Paulo 3 (Campeonato Paulista, March 28, 2010) Elias opened for Corinthians in the 18th minute and Danilo added to the lead in the 34th with a well-placed right-footer. Both teams had a man sent off in the 38th after Dentinho and Washington got into a scuffle. Jean put Sao Paulo on the board in the 43rd before veteran left back Roberto Carlos made it 3-1 in the 53rd with a booming, low free-kick. Rodrigo Souto pulled Sao Paulo closer in the 75th with a goal from close range, and Souto netted again with a header in the 83rd. But Corinthians clinched victory with an own goal by Sao Paulo defender Alex Silva two minutes into stoppage time.
Santos 5 – Monte Azul 0 (Campeonato Paulista, March 28, 2010) Paulista leaders Santos, without Robinho who is still recovering from a minor thigh injury, beat Monte Azul 5-0 to take their tally to 69 goals in 20 matches.
