Copa Libertadores: Universidad Catolica produce incredible comeback at Velez: Wins for Gremio, LDU de Quito & Caracas

Velez Sarsfield 3 – Universidad Catolica 4 (Copa Libertadores, March 3, 2011) Lucas Pratto had given Universidad a 1st minute lead but Velez came back to lead 3-1 by half-time thanks to goals from Fernando Ortiz, Augusto Fernandez and Emiliano Papa. An incredible turnaround started on 74, Tomas Costa pulled one back with a golazo before goals from Lucas Pratto on 88 and Francisco Pizarro on 90 sealed the victory.

Gremio 2 – Leon de Huanuco 0 (Copa Libertadores, March 3, 2011) Andre Lima headed in the opener from a free-kick and Borges claimed number two from the penalty spot.

LDU de Quito 3 – Independiente 0 (Copa Libertadores, March 3, 2011) Paul Ambrosi, Miller Bolanos and Patricio Urrutia scored for the home side.

Caracas 2 – Union Espanola 0 (Copa Libertadores, March 3, 2011) Edgar Jimenez (penalty) and Nelson Barahona scored for Caracas.
