Fluminense 3 – Flamengo 5 (Campeonato Carioca, January 31, 2010) Flu looked well in control when Andre and Dario Conca put them 2-up. Adriano pulled one back from the penalty spot but Cassio restored the home sides two-goal advantage. After the break goals from Vagner Love and Kleberson levelled theÂ derby at 3-3 and two late goals from Adriano completed his hat-trick and an incredible victory.
River Plate 0 – Banfield 1 (Clausura, January 31, 2010) Uruguay’s Sebastian Fernandez scored 16 minutes from time to give champions Banfield a 1-0 away win over River Plate, Fernandez beat goalkeeper Daniel Vega with a low shot after a brilliant lay-off by midfielder Walter Erviti.
Argentinos Juniors 2 – Boca Juniors 2 (Clausura, January 31, 2010) Martin Palermo scored the first goal for Boca against Argentinos after following up a Riquelme shot in the 45th minute. Boca seemed to be controlling the match until the 82nd minute when defender Ezequiel Munoz diverted a free kick into his own net to level the scores. Three minutes later, Riquelme curled a shot into the far corner from the edge of the box to re-establish the lead, but Ismael Sosa stabbed the ball into the net following a free kick in the 3rd minute of stoppage time to claim a draw for Argentinos.
Lanus 3 – Huracan 2 (Clausura, January 31, 2010) Patricio Toranzo opened the scoring for Huracan in the 19th minute with a looping shot that slipped through keeper Marchesin’s fingers. Gaston Machin added a second from a tight angle in the 25th. Gonzalo Castillejos pulled a goal back for Lanus in the 74th minute, but Huracan still looked safe until the 85th minute when Gonzalo Garcia received a red card for handling in the box and Maximiliano Velazquez equalsed from the penalty. Castillejos sealed the comeback victory with the winner in the 91st minute.
Newells Old Boys 0 – Independiente 0 (Clausura, January 31, 2010) Apertura runner-up Newell’s Old Boys played out a scoreless draw with Independiente.
