Mphela set up substitute Surprise Moriri for the third just after the restart, and Mphela got his second also from the penalty spot in the 56th minute. Bafana Bafanaâ€™s final goal of the night was their best; it came from the boot of Bernard Parker who sent a scorching left footed shot screeching past Guatemala substitute goalkeeper Barrios eight minutes from time.
England 2 – Spain 1 (Under-17 European championships final, May 30, 2010) England’s Under-17 side became European champions for the first time, beating Spain in front of Vicente Del Bosque’s World Cup squad. Gerard had put Spain in front on 22 minutes with a deflection of Andre Wisdom and the Liverpool defender responded with the equaliser before the break. Three minutes later Ipswich striker Connor Wickham added to his burgeoning reputation with the winner.
