Celtic 3 – St. Johnstone 0 (SPL, March 20, 2010) Celtic took the lead at St. Johnstone when Josh Thompson flicked a header into the net from Landry N’Guemo’s inswinging free-kick. Celtic finally added to their lead on 67 minutes, Robbie Keane notching his eighth goal in nine games from the penalty spot after the excellent Smith brought down Marc-Antoine Fortune in the St. Johnstone area. Georgios Samaras then grabbed his thirteenth of the season to make it 3-0 to the home side on 87 minutes, slamming the ball past Smith into the far corner of the net to seal all three points.
Hearts 2 – Hibernian 1 (SPL, March 20, 2010) The hosts built up a two-goal lead within 27 minutes through Andrew Driver’s strike and Gary Glen’s header. Suso Santana missed an open goal after the break as Hearts continued to press and Glen had a header well saved by goalkeeper Graham Stack. Derek Riordan pulled one back for Hibs 11 minutes from the end with a shot in off the crossbar.
