Motherwell draw 3-all at champions Rangers; Keane & Zhang Zhi on target in Celtic win

Rangers 3 – Motherwell 3 (SPL, May 9, 2010) Champions Rangers broke the deadlock with Motherwell when Kris Boyd fired Rangers into the lead with a neat turn and finish in the box, and the Gers doubled their advantage when striker Kenny Miller crossed to partner Kyle Lafferty who scored on the volley. Jamie Murphy fired a reply five minutes after the break for Well, but Rangers re-established their 2-goal cushion when Lafferty stabbed in Rangers’ third after 70 minutes. Motherwell looked to be heading for defeat until Steve Jennings headed home at the second attempt after Weir’s poor clearance following a fine Alexander save. Alexander’s misery was complete when a penalty was given for his challenge on Murphy in the 93rd minute and Lukas Jutkiewicz slotted home the resulting penalty for Motherwell’s second remarkable comeback in as many games.

Hearts 1 – Celtic 2 (SPL, May 9, 2010) The scores were level at halftime after Robbie Keane’s opener had been cancelled out by Jambos skipper Marius Zaliukas. A wonderful volley from 16 yards by the Chinese midfielder Zheng Zhi on the hour mark gave him his first Hoops goal and the visitors all three points to finish off the season on a high.
