Last night was a proud night for Scottish football as a Robert Snodgrass inspired Scotland side secured an impressive 5-1 away win against 9 man Malta.
Gordon Strachan’s World Cup qualifying campaign got off to the perfect start, becoming the first team to score five away in Malta in over 10 years.
Hull City midfielder Robert Snodgrass becomes the 1st player to score a hat-trick for Scotland in a World Cup qualifier since Colin Stein in 1969.

Scottish football fans haven’t had much to shout about in recent years, last qualifying for a major competition all the way back at Euro 96.
